HGV Technician – Bus & Coach Fleet
Location: Andover
Shift: 4 on 4 off Shift Pattern
Salary: £51,438 + Overtime


We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional engineering team maintaining a modern fleet of buses and coaches in Andover.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable 4 on 4 off shift pattern, strong earning potential and long-term career progression within a well-established transport operation.
 
The Role of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician
  • Routine servicing, maintenance and vehicle inspections
  • MOT preparation and defect rectification
  • Mechanical, electrical and diagnostic repairs
  • Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
  • Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA standards
  • Completing job cards and maintenance documentation accurately
  • Supporting vehicle reliability and fleet availability
  • Working safely and maintaining high workshop standards
 
What you’ll need as HGV Technician / PSV Technician
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician, PSV Technician or Bus/Coach Engineer
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
  • Experience working on commercial vehicles, buses or coaches
  • Good understanding of DVSA compliance and maintenance standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
