The Role – Primary School Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Dudley area of the West Midlands on a 12-month maternity cover contract starting in September.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate classroom practitioner who is committed to delivering engaging lessons, inspiring young learners, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential within a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent classroom practice, strong behaviour management skills, and a genuine passion for primary education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community
  • Promote a love of learning and encourage pupil confidence and independence

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be passionate about primary education and pupil development
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Have the ability to inspire and motivate young learners
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Be committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to pupil success
